Notably if the agreement just expires in a year with no new one: the U gets $0 from FV which also stops revenue sharing with M Physicians. The “outrageous” new deal continues revenue sharing and FV sending approximately $100M to the U still.

In the absence of anyone else showing up to buy the University hospitals from Fairview (?HealthPartners etc) it’s unclear to me what power the U thinks it has here. FV owns the hospitals! The U’s behavior is so bizarre it makes me wonder if Cunningham has a second “deal” in the works a la Essentia.

But there’s a recently resurfaced (again!) surface lot there!

I seriously am trying to figure out who the adults in the room at the U are on this. Presumably they are at work, quietly. Regents meeting tomorrow—we’ll see what comes of that.
