My husband is a forensic psychologist, this "thing" is definitely very problematic to certain vulnerable people.

Dems literally created the program that you're complaining is being destroyed. JFC use the primaries if you want to change the Dems but STOP pretending the Democrats and fascists are the same, that hasn't worked ever and people suffer.

My (dog) dude is super cold sensitive (I specify because my husband is not). He's a whippet with no body fat and very short hair with no undercoat. He LOVES his jacket and I would also suggest a cave bed for when the inside is just a skosh too cold?

Republicans won't. Of course it was the Democrats (spearheaded by Warren) who created the program in the first place, and now they are the minority. Don't let doomerism help the "both sides are equal" idiots.

I'm slowly replacing my outdoor back steps one plank at a time when I find one rotting. It's like the ship of Theseus (if it was rebuilt without the best of aesthetics), but it's kinda fun!

The next day she ran a workshop on how to develop compelling narratives (of course those men were not in attendance), and it was a great way to connect with the others there. Sorry for the long thread, this experience has just always stuck with me and you reminded me of it.

and open our minds a bit. She presented decades of psychology and sociology research to us (biologists), and it was a really compelling presentation. In the middle, I noticed some scoffing and angry muttering. It was a group of young PIs (all men).

I was at a small science conference once that invited someone from the story collider podcast to present a seminar and run a workshop. Her presentation was focused on all the science showing narratives, not data, change minds. Her goal, I believe, was to teach us about scientific communication...
