So, we all know that the structure of DNA was only discovered in 1953, 72 years ago, but it still seems astounding that it wasn’t discovered earlier. 72 years ago is not that long ago, in the scope of human history.

No new measles cases today. Total confirmed cases remains at 17. All no longer infectious. The outbreak is still ongoing, and we are focused on stamping out further spread. An outbreak can only be declared over after 42 days with no new cases - so we’re not there yet.

I am incredibly proud of this intern, Dr. Ecuut, who has made remarkable strides in PD & catheter placement. In this photo, Dr. Ecuut successfully placed the catheter & performed dialysis on a critically ill 8y/F. Thanks to this effort, the child is now on the path to recovery
