Latest Library Read. The Handmaid's Tale. Must read, brilliant example of the power of fiction to create a believable but brutal world in a few chapters. The narrative of an anonymous survivor in a time of constant crisis. You cant get more topical than that #books #reading #BookSky

Latest summer library read. The Sellout by Paul Beatty. 2016 Booker. Brilliant and genuinely hilarious despite its subject matter of reintroducing segregation to Obama's America. All of US society eviscerated from perspective of race but jam-packed with jokes. Read it. #reading #BookSky

Latest read. The Testament of Gideon Mack by James Robertson. A first person narrative exploration of faith, love, mortality, modern Scotland and a meeting with the devil. Excellent. Truly engaging while dealing with an unreliable narrator. Recommended #summerreading #BookSky #books

Latest read. Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders. Unique, incredible and great read. Its avant garde exploration of transitional states and grief looks at the best and worst of US society. Also a bit of history with Abe L coping with unimaginable loss. Must read 5* #books #reading
