Love seeing the beautiful butterfly at #Tau2025 where 1000+ scientists and clinicians are gathering to share ideas to accelerate biomedical discoveries.

Here is a starter pack to quickly follow TAUrrific researchers. Let me know if I need to add anybody

Wonderful way to start a beautiful morning at #ADPD2025 with @elizabethhead.bsky.social leading off the #neuropathology session in Hall C (2nd floor). Strong work highlightung efforts on Down syndrome to help us understand connections with Alzheimer's💙💜

[2/x] Never fear though, in parallel I am working on my life goal to do 5 pull-ups...apparently will also need to work on grip strength to climb the brick wall💪

[1/x] The journey to preventing brain diseases is long... filled with internal battles, road bumps, and uphill climbs (both ways😉). As I begin the daily check on our @NIHAging R01 grant status, I find that apparently brick walls are also now a part of the journey.

🧵 about "indirect costs"

Hi, it’s nice to meet you. I am a #brain scientist. My life's mission is to prevent #Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias...or to contribute enough puzzle pieces so that someone else can unlock the mysteries of disease.

Science in the setting of art gives rise to all kinds of creative possibilities. I had a wonderfully imaginative time meeting new friends at the Chihuly boathouse in Seattle 🧠🎨🎆

This moment and the adventure that followed will be with me always. So to celebrate #FuorescenceFriday with a little showcasing of the importance of protecting our beautiful brains, I share this epic photo before our ziplining in Puerto Rico. @mariacarrilloalz.bsky.social @leatgrinberg.bsky.social

Happy #lunar New Year! I had the joy of celebrating and learning symbolism behind the wonderful food shared. There was a jewelry making station that helped me break the seal, as many moons have past since I made jewelry. Apparently my ability to see tiny holes has changed over decades 🤣🤓

Oh the magical feeling of a manuscript submission. We celebrate all victories in the lab and this is one of my favorite ways to positively manifest as "Schrödinger's" manuscript where the manuscript that lay submitted is already en route to peer review and acceptance.

Fantastic debut of @baaylab.bsky.social deep neuropathologic investigation of anti-amyloid treated brains. Masterful presentation and panel discussion 🎉 Great job co-chairing @relajoie.bsky.social 🎤

Wowza, @leatgrinberg.bsky.social HAI keynote spanning her impressive work from neuropathology to biomarkers shows the transformative power of applying a convergence of disciplines to detect early #Alzheimers changes... Parabéns!👏👏👏

Full disclosure, I may have crashed (showed up uninvited) to my first #HAI meeting on the way to the MCI annual meeting. Happened to be THE big reveal of T807 (now Tauvid) tau-PET imaging. Sitting in the audience listening to the inspiring journey of Hartmuth Kolb feels like being part of history

Wheels up for my first conference of the year, Human Amyloid Imaging. Excited to see the latest advances in biomarkers and translational neuropathology 🤩

#PuertoRico here we come

A Lot of great past keynotes recorded 👇

Off to see my niece graduate college...time has flown since grad school started 😅 Was able to still make it to our research holiday party to make merry with the lab. Love how the snowman photobombs☃️

I have arrived in #Seattle for @alleninstitute.bsky.social Human Brain Accelerator salon🤩 Should be a great day discussing aspirational but feasible advances to transform how we understand/develop therapeutics for human brain diseases. I played the future game to envision what we may be missing now

Wow, thought-provoking presentation today by @millermb.bsky.social on somatic mutations in #aging and neurodegenerative diseases

Check out this paradigm shifting work 👇

Cause or consequence still up for debate, but fascinating nonetheless

Oooh congrats @andrewboyce.bsky.social on opening up your lab soon. Another good resource for long-term planning is @calnewport.bsky.social Deep Work. Running a lab will pull you in many directions, but if you can maintain a preservation of your thinking time, it's a game changer

What an incredible tour de force Prof Donna Wilcock presented...25 years of immunotherapy research in #AlzheimersDisease. Extra special visit leaving some snow behind to enjoy our sunshine ☀️

I love seeing the mass migration to #SciSky. Looking forward to seeing your new pubs, nerdy jokes, advice gleaned through challenges overcome, #SciArt, and especially ways you see patterns in everyday life. So a big BlueSky welcome on #MicroscopyMonday with a luxol fast blue PAS stain of medulla
