True, but also I don't trust that folks in power of Democratic Party were left out of this decision vs. how much they agreed so long as they could message it as only some members of the party. I am not defeated but when Ds cave over and over to a party that lies, it's hard to see a way forward.

Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

I thought it was a great idea when we came up with it but I have been truly moved by the conversations it starts and the small bits of healing I have witnessed in people after they share their stories. 4/

The project is designed to encourage people to talk about their losses, to recognize we are not alone, and to begin building the coalitions that are necessary to take care of each other when the government has decided to sacrifice us for ballrooms, private jets, island getaways, and the like. 3/

I know this is not the point of your post - but It is really disturbing to me (and a condemnation of how little attention climate catastrophe has merited in the press) that the climate is so low on the list.

As someone with a fair amount of privilege (despite living at the disabled / trans intersection) I feel driven to stay and fight for all of us. Some folks can't leave. I live in a community that has a history and present of strong activism and I love where I live. Besides, nowhere is safe forever.
