DOH Commissioner McDonald says the PPL transition is on track. That’s a lie.

PPL needed to sign up 200k+ people by the end of Jan. But only 67k+ have signed up or even begin enrolling.

At this rate, 10,000s are set to lose care.

Sen Gustavo Rivera questions the Comm'r—

How many consumers? 280k.

How many completed registration? 22k.

How many days b/w now & March 28? 49.

How many days/week is PPL open? 24/7, 7 days/week 🤥🤥🤥🤥

This timeline isn't going to work!!!

Rivera: "April 1 does NOT work. It's incredibly important that this works. If you are so insistent on a single FI, PLEASE reconsider April 1"

We support Rivera's bill (S.1189/A.2735) to STOP the handover to PPL first & foremost. Extending this deadline is also crucial to ensure many don't lose care

Eichenstein: "Commissioner, I assume we share a goal to ensure nobody loses service. The transition started 5 weeks ago. 22k have transitioned. It is now 49 days away from April 1 — how are we gonna transition 258k people?" NO ANSWER.

"Were you aware that PPL is asking health plans for advances in payment? Do you know why that would be if there were initially requirements that they have financing in place?"

Commissioner: "We’re not involved in that."

DOH needs to be taking accountability! PPL is shady and irresponsible.
