THANK YOU for articulating what I've been trying to tell people for months.
People like us knew what to expect, but ABSOLUTELY most people were expecting that high res emulated look and are gonna be disappointed.

From stylized CGI to ugly realistic CGI.
Just like everything about these live-action remakes, it's just the same film but worse.

I didn't have any complaints throughout the year, but in retrospect it was a bit of a slow one.

I'm of the opinion that the Silver Arrows are just the Light Arrows through the lense of primordial lore.
If they remade Zelda 1 in the LA/EoW engine, I expect they'd simply reflavour the Silver Arrows item as "Light Arrows".

Good. These things will make more sense if I can connect them to characters from an actual story.
I've never understood the Hello Kitty phenomenon of merchandise that exists without an original source storyline.

Like I said, it's perfectly understandable, it just feels awkward. They made an amazing VR headset and they also made an amazing VR game... Due to the circumstances of both however the two aren't compatible with one another. It's just sort of funny. 😅

I've come to appreciate it's grimy, sewerpunk aesthetic and banging soundtrack over the years... But you NEED to go into the menu and set the speed to full and definitely not play the PAL version, or you're in for a slog.

Back then, this was the first game I ever returned to the store!

It's completely understandable to have developed a AAA game for desktop VR gaming PCs and for that to then not run well on an ARM powered handheld.
It's just a bit awkward when that's your best (and damn near only) VR game and you're trying to sell a new VR headset!

Chrono Trigger is a perfect game... What could a remake do except ruin it?

Update the graphics? There are indie game today that aspire to its exact look, it's a timeless aesthetic.

I was expecting the spin off to be like totally original characters and settlings, but tbh this kinda works... I will watch this, as a fan.
November 6, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Kirby Air Riders feels like the most AAA hype ever given to a AA spin-off...

Nintendo should ask Sakurai to help them hype up Metroid Prime 4.

Hm... Legacy sequels are getting a bit long in the tooth, but Chris Columbus is a good sign.
November 6, 2025 at 1:52 PM
Its only the physical edition packaging logistics that's slowing them down, so the game should hopefully still be good!

Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
I owned Sonic & Knuckles at home but not the first half of the game, so I would regularly rent Sonic 3 to experience the rest of the levels.

PSVR2 is a solid device. I don't blame developers for the software slowing down.
I blame tight-pursed gamers being alergic to spending money on hardware.
