But the Trump administration ended a program that tribal food banks relied on for fresh, locally produced food important to their traditions and cultures.

“I’m not surprised that nobody turned in their colleagues,” a retired EPA worker said.

His former co-workers understood the importance of addressing pollution that disproportionately impacted communities of color, he added. “That’s part of the mission — it has been for decades."
Trump Asked EPA Employees to Snitch on Colleagues Working on DEI Initiatives. They Declined.
EPA staff didn’t use a tip line set up by the Trump administration to identify and assist in slashing programs focused on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.

Land-use change is the biggest driver of biodiversity decline, removing forests and plowing and paving more than half of Earth’s surface. Our actions must not continue to disrupt ecosystem integrity. We must bend the biodiversity curve with nature based solutions for climate mitigation and adaption.

Recent changes in the climate are widespread, rapid, intensifying, and unprecedented in thousands of years. We are headed into an extremely uncertain future. Nature-based solutions will help restore ecosystems, sustain human life, and create resiliency in a changing world.
