5) Act on student-led ideas - invite and support student suggestions for improving learning and community, such as welllbeing surveys, interest-bsaed events, or peer-led study tools.

4) Teach to involve, not just inform - set clear expectations, check understanding, respond promptly to questions, and use interactive teaching methods.

3) Build belonging beyond week one - Use structured icebreakers in induction week and promote social activities throughout the term. Include shared interests to spark connections.

2) Make support personal and accessible - build help sessions into seminars or run extra drop-ins for first assignments. Personally tell students about support services.

1) Ease the transition - share a sample coursework piece and short guide on writing and research to help students adapt from exam-based to coursework-heavy study.
