writing up an old experiment that was in 4 diff states in 2018, trying to explain the voting rules in each because they impact the way the treatment worked.

TY TY TY. Ok I have that list of counties. So basically if you were IN one of those counties you got a ballot sent directly, no need to apply. If you were not, you could request one using no-fault absentee? I see from the CA SOS that 65% of the vote in Nov 2018 was cast w mail ballots. Nifty.

I realize we're not playing 3D chess here but isn't there also some elegance to Dems forcing Reps to end the filibuster given the refusal to do it from the more conservative* wing of the Democratic Senate caucus?
* define it how you want, ideologically vs. resistance to change

It would be smart for Markey to do it, given his primary, if he stays in.
Warren is principled. I would like to see her do it since she is probs unlikely to run again due to age and also beloved.
Guess I gotta call her office tomorrow.

Yeah. Totally. My Dad died in 2016? In January. It takes a long time to feel better. Especially after all the early support dries up.

I think the first year is particularly hard because you have to go through all the calendar events and milestones without your parent being there. I remember the second year also being hard too, plus future special events that they missed.
