Quick comment on the brilliance of the title alone, which I find endlessly hilarious. A lesser author would have titled the book “The Black Box of Doom” or “Abbott and the Black Box of Doom.” A person “starting to worry” about something obviously worrisome is intriguing.

It goes well with Edward’s Deming, “Every system is perfectly designed to get the results it gets.” How does the entire system need to change so that the results change? How will this affect every component or participant in that system?

I’ve been too timid to try this! But I found that a 7” springform works well in the instant pot as it mimics a water bath. If I can do that, maybe I can be fancy and try a chocolate or turtle cheesecake in a 9” pan in the oven.

That’s an important question to ask. But now that I have a le creuset Dutch oven, I wish I had one years ago (back when I couldn’t consider the question). And I use it nearly every day. The similar-appearing pots don’t come close in performance.
