So the "blue zones" may in reality be due to over interpretation of faulty paper birth records rather than specific lifestyle measures. Nothing against healthy lifestyle but for 1st world countries I suspect we overestimate how much individuals are to blame for dying prematurely.

Pretty good illustration of the relationship between respiratory infections (COVID, flu, RSV, etc.) or the lack thereof (currently) and ALL CAUSE MORTALITY. Those infections absolutely push a lot of susceptible people over the edge.

True but 2 big issues with this. Children who can’t make decisions for themselves are often seriously harmed due to poor parent choices AND a not insignificant % of those who do get vaccinated still get harmed from unrestrained infection (immune compromised etc.).

Started with the flawed Santa Clara study and just got worse from there. Still trying to figure out how exactly the most vulnerable were “protected” since no one anywhere proposed any financial way to do that. In fact they couldn’t even wait until vaccines were available to promote the plan (GBD)

I wonder if some of this is due to “farther to fall” phenomenon. For instance elite athletes more likely to notice small changes in performance vs weekend warrior.

Just out of curiosity. If gun deaths (particularly in children) were at a level of other countries AND the USA had universal healthcare care how far behind would the USA be? (I suspect by not very much.....) and yet lets have RFK JR and OZ focus on "wellness"
