I do my best not to get teary eyed when business shut down because, well, capitalism. But Cole’s (while falsely claiming to be the originators of the French dip) is a god damned LA institution. It’s still a great sandwich. Plus, two of the best days of my life involved Cole’s. It’s a bummer.
