Great two days for the IOC Health, Medicine and Science Department at the Olympic Movement AI Engagement Forum last week, as we explored the use of AI in injury and illness management and prevention, online abuse protection and mental wellbeing, and anti-doping. Athlete health was central🏆.

Celebrating! The IOC Advanced Courses for NOC Team Physicians just took place in Dakar.

Partnering w/Olympic Solidarity, we supported registration of 2 doctors (1 male, 1 female) from each of the African NOCs. 95 physicians from 45 NOCs completed the courses.

The evidence is clear. Lifestyle interventions... can reduce psychiatric symptoms, improve physical health, and extend life expectancy. The task before us is no longer to prove efficacy, but to embed these interventions into the core of mental health care.

During a high-level side event of the 78th World Health Assembly in Geneva, the IOC reinforced its commitment to tackling physical inactivity through sport.
