Solid turnout from students, staff, and faculty at today’s rally for protect DEI at the University of Michigan. As one speaker said, “We need to make DEI better, not smaller.” The regents are meeting this Thursday to vote on defunding DEI. Shame!

In my first semester as a faculty member, the regents of University of Michigan are set to defund DEI. I’m a scholar of anti-racist health. I was hired by the university wide initiative on anti-racism. This is extremely troubling but I’m glad the Faculty Senate is ready to fight.
