The gorgeous town of Ypres with a tragic history. We found the @flandersfields.bsky.social museum & the many dead listed & missing on the Menin Gate very confronting.

We began as many Allied troops did in WW1, waking to the bells of Sint Janskerk & took time to adjust to our new surroundings, visiting Talbot House before we went to the old frontline in Ypres.

My new home of #newalresford is famous for watercress. So I finally made it to West Lea Farm Shop where they farm their own watercress & offer #delicious delights like this Watercress bread loaf. Incredibly #tasty
