I liked this little forest scene taken on a hike to Chapel Rock Beach in the Pictured Rocks National Seashore on Lake Superior near Munising, Michigan USA.
Some small orange and red mushrooms nestle alongside a bright red maple leaf. There are moss and ferns bordering.

School rock of the day
A large rock in front of a school that parents and children regularly paint to commemorate a birthday. This version shows a scene from the Field of Dreams movie with a baseball diamond surrounded by a corn field. Superimposed on the diamond is large baseball with the name “Orion” written in script.

Sage is an indoor cat but I take him outside pretty much every day and he loves it. This morning he stood by the door and I swear he meowed “Right Now!”

The photo shows small, barn-red decrepit building with signage saying “Mini Market”. The market obviously has been closed for a long time. The A, R and E letters in “market” are faded from white to nearly black. The building has an A-frame shape and there’s a miniature copy of the building on its roof. There is faded, peeling white paint on the only door, which has a board where it looks like there used to be a window. In front of the market, there are a few sparse bushes and a green lawn. Behind the market is another building decrepit building which in turn is in front of large aluminum grain bins.

I loved this old-fashioned peephole in our rental apartment in Buenos Aires.

The peephole consists of a round, rotating metal disc with a couple of inch-wide holes in front of screened hole. It’s mounted on a raised wooden disc with two screws holding it in place.

I like Latin American art from Jesuit art schools like the one in Cuzco. This painting by an unidentified artist shows the Virgin Mary and Child. The triangular shape brings to mind Pachamama, the Incan mountain goddess. The painting is on display at the Fernández Blanco Museum in Buenos Aires.
The painting shows the Virgin Mary and the Christ Child in an ornate gold frame. Mary wears a crown and an elaborate multicolored robe. There are two winged cherubs opening curtains that frame the image.
