Writer just trying to make it one day at a time, working in mental health and looking forward to the future
I don't know what the solutions to this are quite yet. Right now, I'm too angry to think about what they should be. But I hope that everyone who voted for this bill and believes in its ideas never has to hear the cries of a young man who can't afford their next meal in their ears.

All these lives, all these futures, they're all going to get ripped apart because of this bill. Because we keep coddling people's delusions about believing that mental health issues are just "laziness", that cruelty is better than community, that everyone can "pull themselves up by the bootstraps."

And then there's the 62 year old man who I worked with. I helped him move out of his brother's house into his own home, helped him learn how to pay his bills. The last time we met, he was talking to me about wanting to start community college to become a mechanical engineer.

Another story: I worked with a 22-year old girl, barely younger than me, who had been sexually abused for years. She used to be too scared to leave the home, but working together, she learned how to go to Starbucks and order a drink by herself at the counter, and to talk with strangers while waiting

He struggled with mental health issues that affected his decision-making, but we were there for him every day, and we were the reason that he could get a meal from a group home that we had running if he struggled with making the right decisions with the money that he had fought for years to keep.

This is the reality of not funding the social safety net. It's not numbers and statistics, it's individuals and their stories. For instance, I worked with a 23-year old boy (legally a man, but still a boy at heart), who had never had a safe home growing up.

the guy for me is Nick Blankenburg. I'd love to take a bet on a younger RHD with some upside in case Yak starts the year in the AHL.

the definition of fine lol. I wish cousins wouldn't take frustrating penalties and amadio would chip in a little more offensively but they aren't actual drags on the team which is huge compared to previous depth.

I've always been a Halliday booster, what have you thought of him since he's come to the AHL and do you think he has an NHL future?
April 29, 2024 at 1:23 AM
no I absolutely feel the same way, I'm like "where the fuck was this 30-40 games ago"
March 28, 2024 at 1:24 PM
I described him as a running back on skates at time lol

he's having the same season pinto did last year, just sucks that he got paid before it. he's already playing a lot better defensively in the new system, I think you just have to figure out the right mix of players to help him get his shot off more.

I want a top draft pick. they're putting me through hell this year, the least they can give me is a fun time at the boy auction.
