Sitting in Prospect Park listening to planes landing at LGA passing over every 90 seconds and thinking about how nice it’d be to have some subway or bus lines with headways remotely close to that.

Huge turnout here in NYC, despite the rain. Took an hour just to walk from 6th Ave to 5th Ave across 42nd Street.

I had the view from there set as my computer's desktop wallpaper for years—always good for a chuckle that it was taken from a toilet!

Maybe falls under this provision that programs with fewer than 5 graduates/year must be eliminated? Seems...totally arbitrary?

Naturally his district ranks 1st out of 51 by number of pedestrian injuries in the last two years.

Yeah per the city's data at 16 camera violations per year the risk of a fatal or severe injury crash doubles, at 30/year it's *50x* as likely! There is absolutely no reason these people should still be driving, full stop. The city is negligent.

As a way of visualizing this, a drop of 80k/entries a day is basically like we're stopping a single direction of one of the busiest highways in the city (e.g. the BQE/LIE/CBE) worth of traffic from entering central Manhattan every day.

Repost with the first album you bought with your own money.

Got some high end headphones a few years ago and finally understood why reviewers at the time described it as a victim of the loudness wars—still a great album though.

Canceled Prime after 10 years in 2019 and have ordered from Amazon once a year or less since—every time I do I feel like the user experience gets way worse. What even is this? So much junk from 3rd party sellers in the mix now. I took their 30 day trial to get free shipping and will 100% cancel it.

I'm not talking suburban subdivisions, I'm talking actually walkable, connected areas with transit. I think any regular city bus rider would disagree that this is a fantasy.

This has been studied—this article has a great chart showing the effect.
