I started collaborating on a project that uses Yarn managing node packages. Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to Node Version Manager available for managing Yarn versions in the command line?

I bought some Dutch licorice while I was on Granville Island from the Licorice Parlor. My only regret is I only bought 300 grams and not 3 kilograms.

Built a PC out of mostly used/free parts. It’s pretty fast and I’m happy with it. Gonna move my #homelab over to it soon. Next step will be getting some hard drives and an NVME boot drive.

I hate #e-waste and micro$oft obsoleting good hardware worked out in my favor for this build.

Probably migrating my #homelab from a Rasberry Pi 4 running bare metal Jellyfin with caddy to an old mini PC I had returned to me.

I want to use docker + caddy on Ubuntu to host nextcloud, Jellyfin, and an XMPP server. Any tips or docs for newbs?

“A threat model for accessibility on the web”

A deep, well-researched & cited piece detailing systemic failures down the web stack (standards bodies, browsers vendors, etc) which marginalize #accessibility and its voices — but with proposed solutions.

Went on a work trip to Maine and explored downtown Portland. First time on the east coast and I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to next time.

Capitalization affects how people read hashtags or how people hear them on screen readers. Use #camelCase or #PascalCase in hashtags instead of lowercase. You could have #DoctorWhoRewatch ("Doctor Who Rewatch") or #doctorwhorewatch ("doctor whore watch.")

Updating LineageOS the old fashioned way using adb and fastboot. It worked!

Giving the phone away to someone in need. I will miss 12 (music player) and the headphone jack though. Hopefully it is happy in its new home.

@lineageos.org thanks for the mmrs. 😎

Fixed a friends problem with apt on Ubuntu yesterday. Apparently nextcloud from snap and Mariadb don’t play nice together. I uninstalled nextcloud and mariadb. Then apt reinstalled mariadb using fix-broken install that seemed to fix the problem.

Are hate #crimes rising or falling in the US?

Since 2014, reported hate crimes more than doubled — from 5,597 to 11,974 in 2023. A 114% increase. #DataViz

Finally got @jellyfin.bsky.social and copyparty setup on my @raspberrypi.com board. Great setup for an inexpensive local NAS. Especially since copyparty makes uploading easy and there are many clients that support Jellyfin.

I’m glad I held on to all of my old purchases for this!

I was working on improving a contact form for a website I manage and everything worked on localhost, but was failing in prod. I thought my code was bad. But it turned out my server was running an old php version. Upgrade php and solved. 😄

I did some web scraping with selenium. It all started when some data I needed was provided as a paginated HTML site.

Apparently there is not a way to find therapists licensed in multiple states. I had to do an inner join on license data in two states to find one.
