Social media has broken our brains.

🎥 In filmmaking you see:
– $100K rigs
– Big sets
– Constant upgrades

You think:
“I need that too.”

No, you don’t.
What you need is to stop watching and start doing.

YouTube People: Input Needed…

Do I continue to maintain a separate profile for my podcast or integrate it into my personal page so I can build out an ecosystem in one place?

Thanks in advance.

Find the thing that’s going to move the needle the fastest and focus on that.

Weekend thought: Creating when the world feels broken isn't denial-it's resistance.

It's saying: "Despite everything, beauty still matters.

Connection still matters. Expression still matters."

That's not naive. That's courage.

What creative act of courage are you working on this weekend?

"Art is the highest form of hope" - Gerhard Richter

This quote has changed how I think about creating during difficult times. When everything feels uncertain, making art becomes an act of faith in the future.

What creative work gives you hope right now?

I can't post as if everything's normal when it doesn't feel that way.

I've been trying to draft the same newsletter for months, scrapping it over and over until I realized: authenticity means acknowledging the struggle.

Sometimes naming the difficulty is the first step toward moving through it.

In the words of Samuel L. Jackson in Jurassic Park: “Hold onto your butts”

That pretty much sums up America right now, no?

Really hungry for more and authentic engagement here.

Let’s dig in creative people. What are you working on?

Given the times in the US, I’ve been feeling like telling stories and making pretty pictures is unimportant…

I was so wrong. It’s everything right now. I just had to be reminded.

ART is important. Expression is important. INSPIRATION is important!

Taking a page out of all the stoic material I’ve read:

Trying to focus on only that which is in my control.

Everyone wants a guide, even if they say they don’t.

I know I do.

The danger is when you rely TOO much on the guide and not on yourself.

Went to do the “morning business” and took a book instead of my phone.

That little tweak starts the day off in such a better light. Been really noticing how sad my tech makes me lately.

Words are better.
