-Don't cut taxes for the wealthiest 1%. To keep the deficit from growing so much and to pay for the subsidies to the ACA, Medicaid, and Medicare at current levels, including people with disabilities.

-Reopen the government. This would stimulate the economy, pay federal workers, and ease tourism as Thanksgiving approaches. Continue SNAP payments, reopen museums, and national parks, etc. Stimulating economic activity and increasing families' certainty, well-being, and entertainment.

That immigrants are family members and thus migration often means being apart from family for years, including young children and spouses and that deportations create further family separations. Child migration is not new, but laws that protect minors and family unity are important.
