Lots of discussions around how to support #autistic people when they feel #suicidal. Our wonderful @dremmanielsen.bsky.social wrote very important points on this topic. Check it out:

“Hi Access to Work. Taxi costs have increased so please can you review the journey limit so that I can indeed access work.”

“The current wait time for review is approximately 8 month.”

“Oh, how do I cover costs to work in the meantime?”

“Pay yourself 🤷‍♀️ … Maybe ask your employer?”

Recording of face down restraint can be an issue too. I had a several hour prone restraint, later apologised for (not denied), in a hospital that when a journalist asked how many face down restraints they had, disclosed zero. ‘Zero’ in a hospital where it was so routine no-one intervened for hours
I remember when the NHS said "stop all face down restraint" - calls to the police went up:

No-one warned the police the NHS would just start ringing 999 in some cases, asking officers to do for them what nurses were no longer permitted to do themselves.

Definitely agree - and for all universal public services. Remember a long and tedious set of arguments back in the day on this re a local council libraries review - isn't it as important to know why people *don't* use a service?
If you’re doing patient involvement for a mental health service and you are only listening to people who have been able to use the service, you risk an incomplete picture. You also need to listen to those who needed the service but were excluded from it, unable to access it, or ‘gatekept’ away.
