For the past year and half Ive been working on a feature length script called While The Waves Wonder. I am looking to make a pitch for this film, and Im looking for actors.
Film is volunteer, but food will be provided. Will likely be filmed in Richmond BC.
While The Waves Wonder Casting Call Looking for two actors(1 male/masc presenting, 1 female/fem presenting) for a pitch for a feature length film. Volunteer, crafty provided. Filming in mid-late August Sam(Late Teens, Caucasian) A girl growing up in the cult-ran town of Grace, BC. After meeting Dylan, she is convinced he’s her destined husband, and pursues him. Dylan(Late Teens, Asian) A boy from Vancouver visiting his extended in Grace, BC. During his stay, he begins to piece together the towns history, and the cults true intentions. Text:WISCONSIN HISTORICAL SOCIETY THE BLACK NITE UPRISING Eight years before New York's Stonewall Riots, the Black Nite Uprising united a community, awakened local activism, and scored an early victory for the emerging LGBTQ rights movement in the United States. On August 5, 1961, four servicemen went on a homophobic dare to the Black Nite, a well known LGBTQ tavern (400 N. Plankinton Ave.) After losing a fight with Josie Carter (1941-2014) a black woman of trans experience, the men vowed to return and "clean up" the bar. "We do not run from a fight," Josie replied. "We do not run from anything." Josie's courage was a call to action. When the servicemen returned later that night, they faced over 70 customers who heroically defended their safe space from invasion, In 2021, the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project obtained official civic commemoration ensure the Uprising will never be forgotten. Seeing a lot of racist pinkwashing bullshit about Muslims and homosexuality and it’s a good time to share how I was on the gay marriage beat for a decade and racist gays never believed me when I shared how US Muslims favored equal LGBT rights (52%) over Christian evangelicals (34%)!

This lawsuit is brutal. One of the exhibits is the letter Universal sent to Midjourney, including a quote from a 2022 Forbes interview that I bet midjourney regrets
Universal did not permit, authorize, or license Midjourney to copy or use any of Universal's copyrighted works in connection with any version of its Image Service or to otherwise exploit Universal's works at any time. You acknowledged as much in a September 16, 2022 Forbes interview in which you confirmed that Midjourney never sought any copyright holders' consent to use or exploit their works: Did you seek consent from living artists or work still under copyright? No. There isn't really a way to get a hundred million images and know where they're coming from. It would be cool if images had metadata embedded in them about the copyright owner or something. But that's not a thing; there's not a registry. There's no way to find a picture on the Internet, and then automatically trace it to an owner and then have any way of doing anything to authenticate it. See Rob Salkowitz. TW- Murder, Animal Abuse & Homophobia

Joss who played John Redcorn on King of the Hill and Chief Hotate on Parks & Rec was murdered protecting his husband. After years of homophobic threats reported, suspected arson.. nothing was done. They aren’t labeling this a hate crime.

I’m SO heartbroken.
