I make electronic music. I also repair vintage synths and study their inner workings.
Love the silkscreen pictures hidden on the circuit boards inside the old 1980s E-Mu Samplers. #synths #electronics #vintagesynths #pcb

A Trichocereus peruvianus micrograft after one year of growth. It was a tiny seedling grafted to Pereskiopsis rootstock a year ago.

Experimenting with some analog synth circuits using OTAs. Just a simple oscillator and filter so far.

The Arp Odyssey is one of my favorite synths. They have a wide range of sounds they can produce and they’re also easy to service. This is an Mk1 from the early 70s.

Fixed up my first Prophet-5. This one is a Rev 2 from the late 1970s. It had tons of issues but I took them on one at a time to get this guy fully functional. Hope it lives on for many more years at its future owner’s studio.

Now onto the next one! Got a few more Rev 2s and a Rev 3 in the shop.

The Prophet-600 is an analog synthesizer released in 1982. Like many other synths from the era it featured analog circuitry for the oscillators and filters that is controlled by a microprocessor and other digital circuitry. This unit had a short circuit between data lines on the switch matrix.

Hello everyone. I’m a musician by night and a synthesizer technician by day. I work mostly on vintage equipment. Stuff from brands like Oberheim, Arp, Roland and so on. Pictured is an Alesis Andromeda that I worked on earlier this year. It was a nerve wracking synth to work on to say the least.
