Hello!
And… good-bye!
I like to imagine the Green Word of the Viera from FF12 is actually just the word “fuck” painted in green

We need a new internet that is separate from AI internet

The source of the humor is, presumably, that threatening a plant with a rabbit subverts the reader’s expectation that humans usually don’t want rabbits eating gardens — this sounds like the kind of joke a computer would come up with

I hope the guy who made Super Monkey Ball lives forever, and I hope the guy who made Yakuza lives forever, because Toshihiro Nagoshi made both games and deserves to live forever twice

I thought you meant the attribution to a man, because I think the money is on beer as a woman’s invention

Best moment was after K dies and Nyaan says “now there’s no reason for my character to be in this story anymore”

I think it’s charitable to say they were going for themes like that in qux, because from where I’m sitting it seems like they strung a bunch of UC callbacks together and then failed to write a story that meant anything.

There was no point to Gquuuuuux, but at least it looked nice the whole time

Even if you’ve seen older stuff it’s like, “I can’t tell what they’re going for” and it ultimately doesn’t feel like the show was about anything at all

I enjoyed myself the whole time I was watching Gquuuuuux, but I wouldn’t ever call it good

teach content over skills, the rationale being that kids will learn how to read as long as they are emotionally connecting with the content. I don’t see why it has to be mutually exclusive but that’s the stakes in department meetings

The biggest struggle I had as a teacher was convincing my colleagues that teaching reading skills isn’t a right-wing talking point. In teaching circles “the kids don’t even know how to read” is often deployed to argue against the inclusion of books with LGBTQ topics, and the guiding policy is to 1/2

Sometimes I wonder how things would be if we categorized games like “tragedy” or “comedy” or “romance” instead
