oh, checkpoints weren't working for me. i don't know if there's an option i turned off accidentally or not, but i just didn't get checkpoints. means i got complete+ on all of the bosses so ig i'll take it

if you fail the finale, you can talk to the janitor and he talks as if you beat the game
