Also, apart from intentional adulteration, medieval bread was (nearly) all stone-ground, which in those days meant that bread contained a good bit of grit - not great for your teeth!

I can totally relate to the "get up and walk around" part - after all, Diogenes said "solvitur ambulando", and he knew what time it was.

To clarify: 'Winterschläfer' was released in 1997 - but if it opened in the US, I didn't hear about it. After 'Lola' (1998) became a moderate hit, WS _did_ get a US theatrical release; I saw it in late 98 or 99.
Tom Tykwer has been busy ever since, but I was unaware until Babylon Berlin came out.

If you work for a weasel, and he tells you to do something evil and illegal, the best reason for NOT doing it is that it's evil. But the fact that he will absolutely throw you under the bus is another pretty good reason.
