250 years ago, the American people made it clear that they weren’t going to be ruled by kings.

On June 14, we’re taking to the streets in a nationwide day of defiance to reject authoritarianism and show the world what democracy really looks like.
No Kings
On June 14—Flag Day—Donald Trump wants tanks in the street and a made-for-TV display of dominance for his birthday. A spectacle meant to look like strength. But real power isn’t staged in Washington. ...

Hey if you don’t know anything about autism you literally don’t have to talk about it as if you’re an expert.

I don’t care if you saw Rain Man once or if your kid has some other completely unrelated condition.

It’s okay to not know things and just listen.

The more you know 🌈⭐️

The White House Correspondents’ Association dinner on Saturday had no comedian and no president. Many journalists said that it had been nearly impossible to convince celebrities and lawmakers to attend the annual event, which came as the Trump administration chips away at press freedoms.

The annual weekend celebrating America’s free press went forward, even as the Trump administration chips away at press freedoms.

A lot of people seem to think following the U.S. Constitution is optional—like picking which shoes to wear in the morning. It’s not. If you’re within the boundaries of the United States, the Constitution applies to you.

The GOP leaders of today do not care about helping families in crisis. Gun violence is a public health crisis destroying our communities.

We applaud @justinjpearson1.bsky.social for representing American values and our heart breaks for his loss.

Every executive order is bad on its own and then I get a second wave of anger at how the interregnum was lost to these sloppy autocrats because "immediately jail the former president that just tried a coup" was taken off the table.

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.
