It has taken medical science 200 years to advance humans to the point where people are so healthy and living so long that they can deny that science and medicine is what got us here.

Been a while since I’ve posted some cat photos. Please enjoy my two inside boys being adorable sleepy loving boys and my outside mostly feral boy who still won’t let me pet him though he does hang out near by most days. Trust is a journey!

Happy Caturday. Today Remus enjoyed some outside time. His brother Romulus still refuses to cooperate with the harness and simply plops down when it gets put on.

Let’s be clear: the right to protest is enshrined in the Constitution, and no one, least of all the current president, has the authority to strip us of that right.

We will not let these threats deter us.

This is my friendly-ish feral neighborhood cat. I’ve named him Porch the Tortured Poet (he seems like he has lived a life and I’m a Swiftie). I first spotted him walking across my patio on thanksgiving of 2024, so I put a little bit of food and water out for him which he seemed very thankful for.

We are experiencing an assault on science unparalleled by anything I’ve seen in my life. It’s not one issue or another anymore, the entire institution is under attack by the most powerful individuals in the country.

This Friday, where will you be?

I've had two papers come out over the past week, both systematic reviews. One is with some colleagues in exercise physiology, and the other is with my incoming graduate student. Starting research off right in 2025!

Our team reviewed the entire DOGE website. Nothing they have identified constitutes evidence of fraud or corruption—both of which are crimes. Feel free to audit us. The funds were allotted by Congress, and OIGs regularly reviewed expenditures for fraud.
