We don’t have to wait for a global pandemic to show us that we can live and do things differently.

Music on the Mount is a sober music festival. 2,000 people having a great time without the need for alcohol or mind altering substances. Such a great energy, culture and presence here yesterday.

I’m in Boston baby!

So grateful to Beth Collinson, PhD and Jacquelyn Hillios at The Phoenix for inviting me to come and visit and collaborate in some exciting plans.

The Phoenix's mission is to build a sober active community.

We’re not just launching books. We’re gathering with the authors and hearing directly from them.

On June 10th in Middlesbrough, in partnership with Recovery Connections, New Central Media is celebrating the release of two titles—it signals the rise of a publishing platform

Delighted that the recommendations for change by the 13 Lived Experience authors from our soon-to-be-released book 'Recovery Capital Pathways Through Prison' have been accepted as evidence by the Justice Committee of the UK Parliament.

What an amazing day of celebration of so many amazing people at the Recovery Connections Awards today!

The dedication, care, compassion and impact of so many teams from Recovery Connections in my home stomping ground of the North East is truly remarkable.

Dot Smith you must be very proud!

Great to be in Brazil at the 29th World Federation of Therapeutic Communities. I was sharing how recovery communities decolonise contemporary structures creating heterotopias for change, growth and healing.

Growing up as a kid I often felt lonely and not always understood. I know firsthand the value of friendship and allyship in my own journey.

I was so grateful to be presented with an award by Faces and Voices of Recovery Brazil for being a ‘friend of recovery’. Thank you so much ❤️

Learning and teaching is more than the communication of information Education is transformative.

Really touched by the kind comments of some of my wonderful third year undergraduate students on my substance misuse module as we had our last session for 2024 today.

Super excited about this book & series by New Central Media. It challenges epistemic violence & participation. Placing those with experiences of prison, addiction & recovery as the authors & knowledge producers. Their words are unsanistised & uninterpreted by academics.

The African, Afro-Caribbean and Asian Communities are mobilising in Sheffield to support those in addiction and recovery.

They are offering a caring family culturally sensitive approach.

Big shout out to Rifhat Aziz and Kevin Jones for organising such an impactful day.
