Baroness Hodge of Barking, the government's "anti-corruption champion", has said the elections bill will make it easier to pursue corrupt politicians She said it would give "powers to the Electoral Commission around corruption and around party political finance, which were really badly looked at under the previous government", adding: "We can rectify that, put those powers back.”
