I think France and Germany have been on the "right path" software wise for some time now. Financially supporting and specifying minimum features for open protocols, communication security, buying open software, etc. It's a big lift, but it's got to start somewhere.

All of this is for nothing if these ghouls aren't held accountable.

None of those people believe that.

Don't worry, it was just a story I made up for court and to eventually drive my ex to suicide. Nothing bad happened to ME.

"I left this center of extreme levels of commerce and wealth because the mayor is a meanie" says literally no one ever. Meanwhile, working class people have to suffer in New Jersey for god's sake!

And perhaps most pertinent this week, how do we stop the buddy-buddy relationships between the powerful and those we trust to hold them to account? Sex offenders certainly shouldn't get early warnings from reporters, as a first step.

I think it's naive to believe the wealthy and powerful haven't always had the means to publish and control narrative, but in this day and age it feels the least necessary. How does the world encourage real reporting of real news? How do we stop press release copy-pasta?

I think this is what struck me most about the method. It appeared to propose common things like guessing based on context, but also seemed to go much further. Like, using truisms to lend credibility, but going much further on the claim.

By lowering prices, preventing rejection for preexisting conditions, and offering (small amounts of) competition. You not knowing this pretty clearly demonstrates the failure of the Democrats and explaining what it was and the success of the Republicans demonizing it.

I wish I could believe that this will move people, but the few conversations I've had tell me that GOP won't be blamed by their voters for this. It's insane and enraging.
