🤨 Why are you posting that lie? We have pictures of the demolition, it removes the entire wing.

Was going to check my daughter's temperature when I realized just how deeply engrained trigger safety is in me. Good habits I guess.

My Pokemon Go login tracker shows quite the inconsistent usage.

I got to suit up for a Super Hero day at a local park this weekend. It was a lot of fun having another chance to make kids and adults smile. The suit held up to the heat wave surprisingly well (there was a breeze that kept me cool).

Home improvement project finished! Took out a trellis that had fallen over and built a new arbor for the plants to grow on instead. It looks pretty nice imo

Base coat for the new faceplate is done, and I'm pretty happy with the paint job. Next to apply the gold!

New faceplate is printed, sanded, filled, sanded, primed, and sanded again. Because I want a nice reflective gold finish, I need to make sure it's extra smooth - which means another coat of priming and sanding to remove minor blemishes.

Oh, and it looks like one of the shoulder pauldrons cracked too.

The backpack effectively dislocated it's shoulder, and seems like it was barely holding on by the padding inside. One of the bicep-to-elbow adapters is also splitting along the layer lines (I'm still surprised the pins haven't broken on any of them yet!)

Here's the helmet damage. It's a mess broken parts, and it's possible I'll have to reprint it all.

Fixing up my Iron Man suit so I can wear it again on Saturday, and making some changes so it can fit on a stand. It feels good to get back into working on it again.

There's something satisfying about clean and organized cable management. Still need to redesign the electronics box and mount the switches.

Wiring up an Iron Man helmet.

Any #arduino experts out there? I've got some servos (known good, work with tester) that aren't moving when I connect their data lines to the D3 and D4 pins. I know I'm writing to the Arduino because the blinking light and serial out are working. No sound from the servos when I move them.

I kept working on it, and I think I've cured it of the flicker.

I improved the connection by running power to all 4 magnets (2+, 2-) for redundancy and wrapping the aluminum tape around the wire before covering the magnet.

I need to test my custom hinges under servo power next.

One of my pet peeves in the Iron Man cosplay community is when the eye lights flicker when you close the faceplate. In the movies that only happened when the suit's power was failing or it was being repaired.

Last night, I accidentally recreated that trope in my own helmet.

There's something about this that looks like I'm printing a symbiote, not a part for my Iron Man suit.

I'm confused about the distinction part. Doesn't it already do that?

Wait, you can't? I see who they're replying to right under the commenters username and above their reply.

This was the captcha Microsoft had me solve last month. Can you tell which of the top images is supposed to be selected? Because I couldn't. I had to switch to their audio captcha to get past.

It baffles me when people post to social media, but then get mad when people respectfully reply to them. I knew the poster didn't have a computer they could install Linux on, so I mentioned my own history using library computers to try out Linux. They flipped out and blocked replies.

🙄 I've seen similar headlines pop up for years, and each time I can only think "$120,000 a year isn't a 'side hustle', that's better pay than most full time jobs!" - and it really highlights how out of touch publications like Forbes are.

"Hey Dad..." followed by a question has been a phrase I've heard entirely too many times today. I love my kids, but it's giving me Navi levels of frustration right now.

It's so shiny! (Can you believe these RGB lights came with fans?)

Netflix felt the need to clarify that there's Anime, then there's Japanese Anime.
