🏺 In 2021 a metal detectorist made the find of a lifetime in Melsonby, Yorkshire (#UK). Luckily, he contacted experts at the University of Durham who, in collaboration with the British Museum and Historic England, excavated what is now known as The Melsonby Hoard. 1/
Artefacts - Durham University
The deposits at Melsonby included a vast amount of ironwork and copper alloy items, with most of the artefacts being associated with horse harness and Iron Age vehicle parts.

The latest report on our excavations at Sources de l'Yonne is available now. It details the 2024 excavations of the Iron Age and Roman sanctuaries at the Sources de l’Yonne close to the Oppidum of Bibracte, France.
