Have you seen the illusion before? Here is the original. The version I made for 2nd years had all seen this version in their intro class. I used the image to introduce top-down processing.

I made this for a 2nd-year cognition guest lecture at MAC and asked the class "How many of you see the dog?" and half the students raised their hands.

I can't claim the idea as my own as I swear I had heard someone else had done it before but couldn't locate the image in 2002.
