I'm very impressed (and learned a lot by googling almost everything you mentioned). My wife is the cocktail drinker and maker in the house. I bet she'd love to have some dancong liqueur to play with. Now I'm thinking of other oolong teas that'd make for interesting mixers...

That's cool you've got them, though. They're cool companions. I'm really lucky; I live in a spot in the South Carolina where, if they're shaded, they do really well. I also live next to a botanical garden that clones and sells theirs that have been growing for 60+ years, which is pretty lucky, too.

How'd that taste? And what tea was it?

Not quite that dark, but I'm a teacher with a gongfu setup on my desk. And sometimes I start a brew mid-lesson and forget about it. Still drink it. Most recently with a Lao Man'e that's only a few years old. It certainly woke me up!
