An interesting detail. If Iranian officials were internally surprised that the strikes caused less damage than expected, it suggests two things: the attacks were either limited or ineffective and the nuclear program is more resilient than many assumed. Strategically significant for all sides.

Trump provokes with identity attacks:
He undermines Jewish identity, demeans women and trans people, and deliberately divides society. His extreme rhetoric follows a populist strategy: attention through calculated outrage. Whether this is still “normal” is debatable but it’s troubling for democracy.
