My tenure wishlist is full of books I want to read to enjoy, calligraphy/ lettering training, & skincare.

On Friday, April 25th, I became the first* African American woman to earn tenure & promotion in the Univ. of Vermont’s College of Education & Social Services history.

Naturally, I went home to reflect on my educational past & to think about my future.

I got an email from a whole ass professor doing an AI survey and I wrote this back:

However, as written, there is no option for me to actually meaningfully participate without you getting incorrect data, and I don't want to be misrepresented. For example, in the first question alone, you don't have something to say that is familiar with Chat GPT, but I don't use it. I am fundamentally, vehemently anti-Chat-GPT. I do not use it, will not use it, and I don't want my work to be put into it (though I know I have no control over that). For this reason, I cannot complete the survey. I wish you the best of luck. If you have a more nuanced survey that allows space for knowing about this and intentionally refusing, please let me know. BMW
