As someone who works in pharma: no. It won’t bring the manufacturing back.
It will just make our insurance premiums skyrocket.
It’s too expensive to move and validate those factories. It’s not like setting up a metal stamping shop.

We love you Canada, current misbegotten politicians notwithstanding! From what I have heard, at at least the Montpelier VT protest, the crowd sang the Canadian national anthem :-)

Did eventually get a marginally better pic of the bald eagle at the tiny lake, who it turned out had a companion in a nearby cottonwood tree. So not a total loner, I guess :-)

As Cory Doctorow has written, the problem is not AI being actually able to do our jobs. It clearly can’t. The problem is our bosses *thinking* it can do our jobs.
