We’re here now because they owned the language. Apathetic voters see the headlines and language and “it’s not so bad.” Things change when those apathetic voters feel guilty. They don’t want to do anything, but they also don’t want to feel complicit. They change their votes if they feel complicit.

I call it bitter satisfaction. I told you so as you slowly watch as you and everyone around you slip beneath the surface while rich men in boats tell us we should appreciate their sacrifice of us.

Absolutely, privatize everything then you always have to protect corporate interests just to keep the meager crumbs that barely sustain people. They want companies too “big to fail.”
