Oh, illegally used furloughed workers' emails... any penalty? No? Nope. No penalty. This administration is on record as the most lawless in history and there's no accountability to be had. Willful violations of the law, untold damages to careers and lives. www.independent.co.uk/news/world/a...

It seems counterintuitive and illegal to force essential workers to keep working without pay through a budget impasse. The shutdown punishes career professionals, public servants, and everyday people for the theater performances of our elected leaders. The hardship and scarcity are manufactured.

ICE has no transparent accountability loop, unlike other law enforcement agencies, and that is why it is illegitimate in its current format. For this reason alone, conservatives should be on board with discontinuing the program until measures are taken to prevent human trafficking and other abuse.

As an employee of California, I went to a conference recently, which is part of my job, and despite putting my personal credit card on the room for incidentals, a $7 bottle of water was charged to my state travel card. I walked to the university cashier's office and give them a $7 check. For water.

Reminder: there is absolutely no documentation from any source identifying $1 trillion of waste, fraud, or abuse unless you consider that our healthcare system is chained to a profit motive.

Remove for-profit healthcare and then we'll talk budget cuts. This man is unserious.

Every single year I‘ve worked in Higher Education the employers‘ and government offer to staff has been: work harder, for less money, in worse conditions. Then they act all surprised and outraged when we get uppity about it.
