After Kennedy's Destruction at NIH, Alcohol Prevention and Addiction Medicine Must Stand In Solidarity - Alcohol Justice
Kennedy's funding cuts and mass firings at NIH means alcohol prevention, research and recovery--and the entire addiction medicine field--must stand together.

I woke up feeling so sad and so frightened for all the people being harmed and threatened right now. I’m trying this breath practice before I go protest today. #handsoff

"We spent all this money on this research and we’re not even going to be able to give taxpayers the outcomes." DOGE's cuts to NIH grants may save money on paper, but terminating studies without notice ultimately wastes money, our analysis shows. @science.org www.science.org/content/arti...
Are terminations of NIH grants wasting billions of taxpayer dollars?
DOGE argues killing grants saves money, but a Science analysis suggests more than $1.4 billion in sunk research costs may produce few results

This is the first death from measles in the US since 2015. Measles is a horrible disease that used to kill millions of people every year. But today in the US any death is an entirely preventable tragedy.
If the US continues on its current trajectory there will be more and more tragedies... #IDsky 🧪

RFK Jr. thinks that a clinical trial should be done for the entire childhood vaccine schedule. Here’s why that will never happen.

1. You can’t do a randomized trial of something that we already know is safe and effective. There would have to be a placebo group that didn’t get vaxxed. Unethical.

Let's be very clear:
Gutting science/education sectors and calling it 'cost-savings' is manipulative and false.
The truth: People in ALL states will lose jobs, cures for your diagnoses will be delayed, tuition costs will spike.
The world depends on US Science and Ed and both will suffer severely.
