As soon as I read that SKorea consistently ranks bottom of OECD countries re gender equality & how Yoon (far-right) was elected by a wave of young men, it was pretty obvious. TV is not real life and I am stunned more ppl don’t realise this

Korea is a mix of private investors via production companies and state funding. Japan and Taiwan is probably through production companies as well, that’s the standard for most entertainment industries including Hollywood.

It’s probably funding. In Thailand they announce dramas and create buzz for them in the hopes of getting enough funding to actually make and air the drama
