Yo the amount of blocking I had to do after my innocuous post went outside of my circle! And I even said in the thread that I LIKE the kdrama actors but the Jdrama has a better script, directing & colour-grading in addition to talented leads! No dice lol

Absolutely adored #LegendofZangHai and am glad it stayed great all the way to the end. It did NOT pull its punches, with standout performances from Xiao Zhan, Zhang Jingyi and a solid supporting cast. Definitely one of my top cdramas of the year!

Nothing is appealing to me while I wait for my ongoings so am rewatching a classic: Lost Love in Times. Liu Shi Shi and William Chan did their big one with this drama 🥹

On ep 11 of #Filter and really getting a kick out of it, it’s fun! Part modern fairytale, part romcom. It really reminds me of the film Penelope in that sense. Also some early eps had hints of 13 Going on 30. Nice to see Tian Jianci play a not-immediately-likeable-character

Watched ep 1 of #UndercoverHighSchool it’s clearly meant to be a dumb action comedy and…it is😮💨. But I laughed on 3 separate occasions so I will continue. Verdict? Too soon to tell. But SKJ in uniform is visually disturbing cos that is a grown ass man. Even his teacher looks younger than him! 😭

Enjoying this one, brutal world, everyone cunning and ICE-COLD! Both leads are ruthless, slow burn incoming. Drama focuses on politics but is also relationship-based with a healthy mystery. Also even though he’s merciless he’s about 5 seconds from falling for her lmao #KillMySins

Day 31: Favourite drama of 2024? A tie between Lovely Runner and Judge from Hell. Both breathed life into genres which had largely moved away from either the earnestness and love-driven plot of LR or the audaciousness of critiquing the SK justice system AND society itself as JTH did

Day 25: Favourite romance of 2024? Lovely Runner without a doubt. I understand why it was ignored by industry when in development, it had an earnest, sweeping love story that is just not in fashion these days. A genuine connection between 2 people that can change their time and space #EYDC2024

Day 15: A 2024 drama that grew on me with time? FlexXCop was pretty meh until about halfway through ep 3 when something clicked and the show finally realised it’s a dark buddy cop comedy, then it started excelling each week! #EYDC2024
