Some progress for #screenshotsaturday! Worked on the campsites a bit and made a fun shader that lets me use Kenney's patterns for textures easier. Also started the campsite management bit, a lot to do on it but its started!

Was busy yesterday so pretend like its still #screenshotsaturday, but expanded on the inventory system a bit to prep for crafting. UI is obviously placeholders and WIP, but itll show your current item, what row is your hotbar, etc. Next step is crafting and camper assignments!

Been working on resource drops and inventory stuff. Got simple drops working as well as an inventory system going. We'll see how scalable it is in future but I'm trying to get better about just making the thing and cleaning it up later 😅

Heres what I've been doing this week! Simplified the campsite gen to be a circle instead of a dynamic area for a few reasons, but things are coming along. Goal is a campground sim with tycoon-ish goals but a focus on decorating and whatnot.

Got distracted, started tinkering with another idea I had for a campground sim. Wanted to get an idea of how to proc gen a campsite area based on what the player clears out. Big thanks to @makertech.bsky.social for their array mesh tutorial, it was a huge help!

Ok finally sat down and worked on this for more than 10 minutes, two minigames are mostly blocked out.

First one is a farmville-like game youll need to keep up with, the second is a video call that will pop up and youll need to give a reaction based on the other faces

Ok its door time! It wont cover 100% of bespoke cases, but if you want an easy to use door script that makes whatever you put it on do door things, check this out! Supports sound playback, various swing settings, and more!

Wrote up an actual tutorial for JAMS!

If you want an easy to use menu stack system that can be used with no code, auto focuses elements for keyboard/gamepad support, and can be easily extended, check it out!

Core mechanics are done, theres generators, fuses and fuse boxes, timed levers, switches, and automated patrons. After 12+ hours I think its bed time 😅 we'll see what I can get done tomorrow, but I'll at least get the page up lol, pretty happy with what I did in a day

Will I finish in time? Who knows, but the snowball is snowballing and a somewhat finished product feels closer and closer 😀

ive also gotta figure out my content workflow on Linux, OBS doesnt want to record the Godot window easily, and Spectacle doesnt record audio 🤷‍♂️

Been a bit since my last #screenshotsaturday, and theres a bit more to show than I thought. The boss now has its first attack, the dash! Work on it has been slow cause Life but I want to at least get the first boss done, side projects are calling to me 😅
