Exhausted Liberal.

Gay liberal Hoosier. A blue dot in a field of red that grows only hate, fear, and misogyny.

Guess for anyone not part of LGBT+ community maybe amazing.

Not like I'm affected since I avoid religion like a plague. Religion is a cancer on the human mind. But I'd prefer less anti LGBT leaders of cancer in the world.

Anxiously waiting for his primary challenger to announce so I can donate. We need everyone of theSe do nothing Republican light Dems gone.

There still has not been a vote to remove Schumer as minority leader. So every Dem senator is failing us.
April 28, 2025 at 11:02 PM
Gotta admit, this administration provides a ton more chances for sensationalist pieces.

Why would they want a boring no drama admin doing normal things and maintaining stability? Think what that kind of news cycle would do to their online clicks.
April 27, 2025 at 1:23 PM
Punching hippies and demeaning the base is like bread and butter for moderate Dems. Then they complain when the left doesn't come out in high numbers to vote.

The Rs courted their base. And look who's in power.

And this is why the government is trying to find an out with the Garcia case, likely by agreeing to facilitate his return.

They are afraid that discovery will uncover too much about their scam deal with El Salvador and lead to a host of new cases.

How long does it usually take for a judge to wade through something like this? Will we hear anything about after the review the sealed motion?
April 23, 2025 at 1:15 PM
He already tweeted that Powell's refusal to lower rates will lead to recession. He is preloading his excuse and targeting scapegoats for when he inevitably crashes the economy.
April 22, 2025 at 1:38 PM
I just did that this morning. Probably the same article.
April 21, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Well the supreme Court has already ruled that police do not have a duty to protect or serve, so standing around watching laws broken and rights violated is okay I guess.
April 20, 2025 at 2:27 PM
But is this another bait and switch where he votes no on the bill but votes to pass cloture so the bill passes anyway.
April 20, 2025 at 1:31 PM
Mitch McConnell will deserve an entire chapter.
April 19, 2025 at 12:51 PM
I keep waiting for them to throw out decorum and just start calling out the complete uselessness of Thomas and Alito. Why won't kagan declare that there is no constitutional basis for these rulings that they're making it up.

And not in some dissent few read, but on every news show and paper.
April 19, 2025 at 12:49 PM
I don't want rhetoric. I want to stop seeing D votes on his nominees and R bills. That deserves criticism.

But you can't criticize any Dems even as they assist in the complete deconstruction of our government. We should both call out the things Rs are doing and the feckless Dems assisting them.

I feel like SCOTUS knows Trump is going to violate their orders so they are going to great lengths to preposition excuses not to hold him accountable. They left numerous outs sprinkled through the text so when the issue comes back they avoid holding him accountable.
April 18, 2025 at 9:23 PM
March down there with a team of lawyers prepared to file habeas petitions for every single inmate.
April 18, 2025 at 8:45 PM
You would think something this blatant would be considered clear evidence of contempt of SCOTUS ruling.

Do they really think they can maintain any legitimacy if their rulings are ignored and mocked like this.

18 is the point when a child is no longer legally required to be dependent. That's the difference. Whether someone chooses to is again arbitrary.

Bush 2 came in doing his daddy's bidding so we can't really stop kids who choose to be beholden to their parents whatever age.
April 17, 2025 at 2:52 PM
Raising presidential age just seems arbitrary. There isn't much difference between 35 and 40.

But I also feel younger people have a higher stake in the future and should be handed more reins of power to choose their future when most current leaders will be dead.

And I'm 44.
April 17, 2025 at 2:48 PM
For voting, my only concern in age limits is the misuse of minor votes to support a parent's agenda. Limiting voting to when someone becomes legally independent seems prudent for that aspect alone.

For me concerns about officials being too old is justified by evidence, too young are arbitrary #s.
April 17, 2025 at 2:42 PM
So you discriminate against people you think are too young even if they are of age to vote. I see. You're an ageist. You don't think people can be too old for a job, but refuse to admit some younger than the age limit can perform as well due to prejudice. Got it.
April 17, 2025 at 1:55 PM
Yes even Betnie
April 17, 2025 at 1:21 PM
I guess the same should be said for too young to run. Why don't we get rid of those meaningless limitations?

If you think someone is too young, don't vote for them.

Get rid of all limitations. If you don't want a Canadian for president don't vote for them.
April 17, 2025 at 1:20 PM
Exactly. I understand when a Dem holding a usually red seat crosses the aisle sometimes. But when a Dem in a safe blue seat feels the need to support a bill or nominee that the base wants to resist, they should forfeit that seat's safety.
