Why are the schools a mess? Because instead of correcting out of control behavior, we reward it. I'm tired of the emails about students who need a break and who can run out to get them McDonald's. Like what?? NO! We have created a monster with all of the restorative nonsense. It doesn't work.

I swear on my parents' graves that what I'm about to say is true. After Friday's train fiasco, I was getting out of the Jeep at the Newark, DE, train station to get my train back to NYC just now.

I'm a bit shaken up right now. My Amtrak train pulled into Trenton, NJ, and we seemed to be sitting a bit longer than normal. We heard the conductor come on and say there was someone on the train who didn't belong here and the police were removing them.

I am so tired of this city. I got kicked off the subway fifteen minutes before my stop because of a fire at a store somewhere along the way. Had to wait for an Uber in a super dicey section of the Bronx under the elevated train with very few people around for ten minutes. Three more years.

Because it needs to be said, despite propaganda being spread about the terrorist in New Orleans being an immigrant, he was in fact born and raised in Texas and was a US Veteran. Their hopes in using this brutal terror attack to demean immigrants has ended in total failure.

Waiting for my uptown subway train and thinking about that poor man who was pushed in front of an oncoming train the other day here in NYC. Never stand near the edge and always pay attention to your surroundings.
