New paper! Electric rays can use their electric discharge to repel large sharks. Here a white shark carrying a camera approaches a Pacific electric ray. Something caused it to sprint 20 m shallower!

New paper on stingray activity patterns in Belize. There is lots of individual variability with regards what time of day rays are active, but all seem to be highly active in shallow water. These may represent important foraging habitats

New paper! We use telemetry to identify behaviors of goliath grouper while they are in a seasonal spawning aggregation. Behaviors will vary based on lunar phase, water temperature and current strengths. www.int-res.com/abstracts/me...
